Collin and Emily – a purple winter’s majesty

From the moment I met Emily, I knew she was born to be covered in sparkles and fur. So I was an obvious choice for her wedding photographer. Hee Hee!

We chose the Salt Lake Temple grounds to photograph her formal session. We wanted to be sure we had some great ones before the snow came which ended up being one of the best decisions EVER! The leaves had all fallen except one small area that had tiny orange leaves left. There were red berries on neighboring trees and darling whimsical black lanterns that decorated the green ivy ground. I was a lucky duck because the sun was out. So I threw them in front of it and went to town. This image is my most favorite image from the entire session. It so simplistic and perfect. The colors in her makeup and florals mimic the colors behind her and the gold in the fur makes everything perfect.

Although it may look warm and delicious… It was really so stupidly cold.

I shot this wedding with one of my preferred videographers – Jared Wortley Films. He’s amazing. Brides! If you’re looking into videographers. Be sure they have lighting equipment for after the sun goes down. Or if it’s an indoor venue. Just FYI. Oh… Jared has indoor lighting, and I love him for that. Speaking of Jared… Here’s a shot of us in action. 🙂
Thanks Josh the Intern for snapping this!
Ok, ok… I know you came here for the goods. Let me send you on your way with the important vendor credits. I can’t stress how important it is to put money in your dress, hair, makeup, and bridal bouquet. Oh who am I kidding. Put money in everything! It’s your wedding!

Emily loved her hairspray!

Almost ready to leave!

This is my favorite! This always happens. I ask the grooms side to step down for a minute so I can photograph the bride’s side. Then the GROOM leaves. It makes for a good laugh.

Aaaaaaand here’s the last image. It’s ME! In all of my multi-colored hair madness.
I loved shooting this glamorous purple winter wedding. It was elegant and timeless. Emily is the epitome of the perfect bride. Collin is such a stud of a groom. They’re absolutely perfect together and I felt truly honored to be a part of their day.
Love you two! And congrats!!!!
