Collin and Emily – gorgeous Garden Park Ward

I wanted Emily and Collin’s engagement session to showcase the richness and warmth of autumn instead of just the leaves changing colors. The Garden Park Ward house in downtown Salt Lake was a perfect setting! The ivy, the stone, the backlit nummy sun. Fabulous! I was in LOVE with the dress Emily chose. It was flowy and fabulous. It also went SO well with Collin’s outfit choice. High fives across the board for style choices!
We ended at the State Capitol which I’ve recently fell in love with again, but not for the traditional column reasons. I’ve found hillsides, landings, and gates that look elegant but don’t scream ‘Oh they must have taken these at the Capitol’. Nope, the location looks obscure, which is exactly what I was going for.
I’m shooting her bridal session today and I couldn’t be more excited. She’s shown me sneakie peekies of her gown and it’s drop dead gorgeous! Woo hoo! It makes battling the freezing cold weather worth it for bridal gowns like this one. But I’ll show those to you another day… For now! Enjoy these romantic golden hour engagements!
