I was so excited to shoot this session!
I had never met either bride or groom before this shoot but by the end… we were making music videos and laughing our pants off!
We started at the LDS Salt Lake Temple. I opted to do the first look photos on the traditional pedestal in front of the temple. I loved this idea because they’ll be getting married inside the temple so why not have it in the backdrop? Fabulous!
The lighting and weather couldn’t have been more cooperative. If you’re a photographer, then you know how your ENTIRE job is dependent on whatever the weather/God has in store for you. I couldn’t have asked for more! We rocked it on the temple grounds, in fact, I shot in front of the Lion House which isn’t the norm, but I absolutely loved it! Then we hiked up our skirts, ran to our cars, and booked it to the Great Salt Lake.
I tell my brides to take the Saltair exit off 1-80 West, just past the Salt Lake International airport. It’s an easy way to tell them where to park. Because it had rained earlier that day there were beautiful puddles all over. I WAS IN LOVE! Kendra’s romantic flowy dress, and Jacob’s tan suit fit in perfectly with the surroundings. It was very beachy beautiful. 🙂 Then… while we waited for the sun to set… we made a music video to Carly Rae Jepson’s so ‘ I Really Like You’. Not gonna lie. It turned out amazing and we all rock at lip synching. 🙂
It was a long shoot, but they were very relaxed and fabulous and I couldn’t have asked for more!
Jacob and Kendra…
I really really really really really really like you. 🙂
