Brandon and Kendyl – freezing winter bridals

Our winter here in Utah this year has been quite dry. In fact, it’s only snowed during christmas which was fabulous and magical.

BUT it made it tricky to capture Kendyl’s idea of a wintery bridal session.
Step 1- Head to the mountains
Step 2- Have Joceyln the intern call every craft store in Utah Valley to find bags of fake snow
Step 3- Bring a ladder and two assistants to the shoot to throw fake snow on bride
Step 4- Bride freezes and can’t continue
Step 5- Head to the studio to finish the session
Welp. That about sums it all up!
Seriously though…
I felt SO bad for Kendyl. She pushed through the cold until she couldn’t push through anymore. She went to the car to have a ‘break’ and said she couldn’t come back out. I felt so horrible! BUT we did get some awesome shots with the one tiny patch of snow that Tibble Fork Reservoir had to offer. In fact, I had to photoshop more snow in the full length photos.
I am in love with these, and I might add that Utah Valley Bride Magazine is happy with these as well. They have some of these images placed throughout their 2015 magazine. Fabulous!
