This session was BY FAR one of my most favorite sessions.
Why? you ask?
Well, for many reasons… but the main reason is that Louboutin’s made their appearance. Yes that’s right. Louboutin’s… plural! Kendyl showcased two pairs of lovely Christian Louboutin heels. I was obsessed and almost ripped them off her feet and ran for the hills!
Kendyl’s darling tulle skirt is from Shabby Apple. I tell you this because I know you’ll ask me later on.
We started shooting at City Creek in Salt Lake. We needed to take one specific shot that Kendyl had in mind. She wanted a photo in front of Tiffany & Co. I was completely on board, but I knew that we needed special permission to take photos on City Creek property. I decided to just go for it. I only wanted one photo anyway. I figured if we got kicked off, then oh well. I shot it, then I noticed 3 security officers starting to walk towards us. I shoved my camera back into my bag and we began to walk away. The security officer followed us through Nordstrom, down the escalator and all the way around the perimeter of City Creek. Not gonna lie… I was afraid I would be thrown into jail. The slammer. The big time. My mind goes dark real quick.
We continued our shoot with a simplistic cityscape feel. In fact, I found that I liked the look of these images in black and white over color. I’m a fan of color. Yes please! But! Kendy’s dark hair and light outfits mixed with the textures of the background… I chose black and white.
I used the Nikon D700 and the 1.4 85 mm lens for most of this shoot. I LOVED THIS SESSION!
