This week I’ll be posting all of the sessions I shot with Brandon and Kendyl. They were recently married on January 10, 2015 in the Salt Lake Temple with a reception that same day at the Utah State Capitol Building. Kendyl is creme filled with glamour and dusted with sparkles. She is the essence of loveliness and photographs like a dream. and we enjoyed Brandon too. 🙂 Hee hee.
Honestly Brandon and Kendyl inspired me to take some amazing photo sessions. In all, we shot 5 sessions.
Mountain engagement session – Tibble Fork Canyon
City engagement session – City Creek and downtown Salt Lake City
Snowy winter bridal session -Tibble Fork Canyon
Glamorous wedding – Salt Lake Temple
Stunning reception – Utah State Captiol Building
I am obsessed with each of these shoots and I saved them to post all in one week! So… grab your popcorn and coke zero cause this is gonna be good!
This session was all about hands. I just kept telling them to put their hands on each other. And… they did! It made for some romantic and intimate images. Kendyl has such an engaging smile, and at the same time she can pull out a sexy ‘shmize’.
Mini McPhoto Class:
I used the Nikon D700 for this photo shoot. It’s a 12 megapixel camera but don’t let that fool you. These images can still be printed extremely large. This camera has great low light capabilities. I use this camera and the D800 which is a 36 megapixel camera. They’re the perfect couple.
I used the Nikon 2.8 24-70 mm lens as well as the 1.8 85 mm lens.
During the first photo shoot with a couple. I’m always looking at what their best angle is. I noticed that Brandon looks best for straight on shots and if he’s looking at Kendyl then I had her place her hand on his chin. I also noticed that Kendyl’s long sweater wasn’t showing off her hot bod. So I made sure to adjust her body so she didn’t look bulky. Paying attention to detail is so important. AND at the same time you’re still interacting with the couple so they feel comfortable, start laughing, and give you amazing emotion.
And NOW: the main attraction…
