Are you kidding me? This was such a great wedding! First, the location… I didn’t have the address! They don’t give it out! So fabulous… oh so fabulous. The guests were bussed into the venue. The Red Cliff Ranch is nestled in Heber, preciously protected. It’s lush and green. They turned their large barn into a darling dining hall. I loved the bar tender, he looked like Jack Nicholson. The food was delish, and the toasts were so touching. It was super dark inside the barn. I really wanted to give this wedding a very casual, organic, and natural feel. I didn’t want to start popping my flash. I also couldn’t bounce it off of anything because the ceiling is SO high, and it’s dark wood. I decided to put my ISO up high and use the ambient light. I actually really really like it. I’m always so uptight about… oh that’s too pixelated or no no you must use your flash in this instance. I’m so happy I went with my gut. I like the grainy look that they have in black and white. I’m really happy with this wedding and how it turned out.
I LOVE shooting these weddings. It’s so easy to be creative when you have such a great palette to start with.
Thanks so much David and Heloisa for letting me be a part of your fabulous wedding.
