This was a personal project of mine. I networked with models, and other wedding vendors to pull off this AMAZING session. Each year I try to photograph a personal project. I love doing this because it helps me step out of my norm, but more importantly, I get to have all the say in everything! I go to so many weddings each year. Some weddings get it right, and some don’t… So that’s why I wanted to put this session together. I was able to implement the fabulous wedding vendors and create some stunning images. (See below for vendor information).
I had so many people help me make this idea of mine come to life. When I approached each vendor they had no reservations and put all of their trust in me. All of the vendors exceeded my expectations and made it so easy for me. Greg (husband) spray painted the chairs and table that I bought on KSL. The table was $20, hee hee, and the chairs were $45 for all three. I bought the paper lanterns from Hobby Lobby. The doors were a backdrop from one of my Spring weddings. I bought them from that bride.
My models were amazingly gorgeous. Aisha is a friend of Lindy Hughes who did all of their eyelash extensions. Olivia is friend’s with my sister-in-law, Christina Harrison. Jennica is my pride and joy. I photographed her back when I owned my D70s. So I LOVED to get her in a dress again.
Thank you SO much to Avenia bridal for allowing me to use your gowns. I wanted nothing but the best. Ashley and Caroline… I love you two! You two were so great to help the models get into the gowns and make them look great.
The hair and makeup was done to perfection! I could not have been more pleased with the outcome. Jocelyn, Maddie and Tiffany you ladies are fabulous! You have mad skills.
Averie! I wish I would have been able to chat more with you. I was dying when I saw their makeup. You are fabulous… just fabulous.
Alyssia Baird and Kristina Curtis were so wonderful to come and help me as associate photographers. They were able to capture some of the candid moments and backstage shenanigans. Thank you so much!
While the session was going on I looked around for a minute to see everyone. There were SO many cars parked and people touching up this and fixing that… I just loved that feeling. Near the end of the session, I stopped and said “I just don’t want this to end!” Everyone else felt a little differently since it was SO cold! The model’s hands were turning blue… Anyway, I had a great time, and I want to thank everyone involved. Especially my Mom for watching my kiddles the entire day. You are the unsung hero, and I love the shnot out of you!
