Sheidler and Chloe - a springish kind of winter

So what do you do in the winter time when all the world is ugly crushed grass and nakie trees? I'll tell you what you do...
You head to the nearest green house and do your engagement session amongst lush green leaves and pretty spring flowers. Sheidler and Chloe's wedding is in April, so I wanted their engagements to have a fresh and light feel. I asked them to bring two bunches of spring flowers to the session. I loved the pop of color it brought to the photos.
I used the Nikon D800 and I used the 1.4 85 mm lens for the entire shoot! Greg actually challenged me to use this lens through the session and never change it. I LOVE a challenge! And frankly, I nailed it.
I wanted a change of scenery so we went to our studio to shoot some more on some backdrops that my husband Greg has made. I am ALWAYS inspired by the images from a local dress company Shabby Apple. So I brought a bunch of suitcases and stacked them on top of each other, then I threw a white sheet into the mix. I'm pretty sure they were a little weary of what this would look like, but I told them to trust me. I know it's not the norm, but I'm 100% happy with how they turned out.
Sheidler and Chloe are easy peezy to photograph. They have natural chemistry and Chloe is a born natural. She knows how to move and change during a shoot. Sheidler has so much personality and makes Chloe giggle. It was the perfect storm. They have no bad angle. Sometimes I feel like I shouldn't get any credit for how my photo shoots turn out. They were just so easy to work with. Props to them. They get 94% credit for how awesome these images look and I'll take 6%. That sounds fair.
