Kevin and Alexis- San Diego bliss!
I shot this wedding in San Diego this past September. I didn't blog it because a week after I shot this wedding my little girl was hit by a car. So I think I just completely forgot about it. My precious Ellie is ok, but it shook up our lives for a bit.
I have known Kevin, or Darrell as I knew him, for a super long time. I shot the first wedding where he premiered his company PictureThis. Then ironically, I shot the second wedding too. He used a lot of my images from those weddings for product photography for the company. It was so exciting when he told me he was getting married in San Diego. I have always wanted to shoot a wedding at the San Diego Temple. I've shot a lot of weddings in California, but for some reason I've never made it to San Diego.
This wasn't the norm LDS temple wedding. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that Alexis and Kevin are the only members on both sides of their family. So their wedding was a really awesome mixture of the LDS wedding world and the rest of the wedding world. I loved every bit of this wedding!
The yummy local food, the wildflower bouquet, the smores pit and cute smores guest favors... I could go on and on. Just enjoy looking at the katrillion images that I picked out to put on this blog posting.
I started walking down the hill, and I looked back to see them having an instagram moment. YES!
I had never had an orange from an orange tree. In my little naive mind I kind of didn't believe that oranges actually grew from a tree. I thought they just came in nice wooden crates. I couldn't believe this orange tree. It was huge and completely covered in oranges. I wanted to pick a bunch and take them home with me. We spend some moolah on oranges... Kevin picked one and peeled it for me, but of course we had to make a cute moment with the photos. They were also needed something to eat, so it was a win win.
Are you kidding me with the juice!
I love that this little kid stopped and smiled. Kids are like flies to the flame when I bust out my camera. They're like... "Oh, you must want a shot of me really quick before I run away. Let me stop for you and smile because I'm sure you're taking a close up of just me." HAHAHAHAHAHAA
Yep, they are that cool.
Don't think that red pepper was just candidly put there. I put it there. Rule of thirds baby.
BIRTHDAY SUIT! HAHAHAHAHA
fresh local avocados.
Sorry that these are out of order. I don't have time to fix it. Just deal with it.
I've decided that I am a really good photographer.
